Everything you ever wanted to know about estate planning is contained in The Complete Book of Wills, Estates, and Trusts. This substantial book, now in its third edition, is full of information to help you become more informed about how estate planning works. Written by attorney Alexander A. Bove Jr., Wills, Estates, and Trusts, is easy to read and sometimes entertaining, but it is also very dense, with copious details about wills and trusts. Bove uses examples from the wills of famous people and other interesting characters to illustrate the probate process, how wills work, how trusts can be used to save taxes, the spouse’s and children’s rights to an estate, estate management and executors, and will contests. When discussing trusts, Bove goes into great detail, giving descriptions of the many different types of trusts — family trusts, asset protection trusts, tax-orientated trusts, and special purpose trusts — and how they work. In addition, he includes a chapter on how to find a lawyer, emphasizing the need to find one experienced in estate planning. Wills, Estates, and Trusts is not a quick overview of the topic. Rather, it provides an in-depth look at all the elements involved in protecting an estate for loved ones. |
